I'm often asked how we raise our goats, what we feed them, medications, testing, etc, so I thought I would get it all down here for you, but please feel free to ask if you have any questions
One of the most important thing any goat producer can do for their herd is get to know them. We spend many hours with our goats to better understand their personalities and quirks. We have quiet goats, mouthy goats, in your face friendly goats and goats who wait until you are alone to approach. We know whose who and this help us see when one is not its self, ill or in pain. When a goats in trouble by the time you notice it can be too late. Know your herd, know when one is not with the group....and find him or her. A sick goat separates from the herd, lays off by itself or stand with its head hanging low...be alert, know your herd.
